Eddie's Dive Inn, an aptly named watering hole for streetwalkers, pimps, and those on the fringe. Lt. Diaz, a young rookie at the time, got into a scuffle with a pimp he saw assaulting a woman. It was at that scene he met activist Ms. Georgia Jones-Ayers, and the encounter would have an impact on Diaz and his policing.

While parking his car near his girlfriend's house, international operative and informant for Diaz, Monkey Morales, was shot in the head by Eladio Ruiz. Morales removed the bullet himself and made a mental note that he owed Ruiz a receipt. Morales called Diaz after he was shot and Raul took him to a Holiday Inn to keep him off the streets for the time being.
Coral Gables
Jose de la Torriente was instrumental in getting Raul and his brother into the US, as he had been for many young Cubans via the Pedro Pan Program. Miami International Airport
When Griselda Blanco ordered hitman Rivi Ayala to take out rival Papo Mejia at Miami International Airport and have him "bleed to death like a pig," he thought it was far too risky a location. He passed it off to Miguelito Perez who grabbed a bayonet, attacked Mejia right there in baggage, and was arrested. Naturally.
